According to a recent report by Auto Express, Ferrari will unveil the successor of the 599 GTB Fiorano at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next March.
Codenamed F152, the new two-seat will have adaptive dampers, new chassis was developed from the FF and continue to use aluminum alloys for its body structure. The new car will be more powerful and lighter than before.
Auto Express reports that the new 599 is equipped by a 6.3-liter V12 direct injection engine with 700 hp, making it more powerful than the current 599 GTO (612 hp) and the FF (650 hp). Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission with a F1-style electronic differential, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 345 km/h.
The new Ferrari is expected to go on sale in late 2012, pricing starts around £225,000.
