Chevrolet Cruze Diesel coming to U.S. in 2013
General Motors has confirmed that it will offer the Chevrolet Cruze with a diesel powertrain in the U.S. and Canada starting with 2013.
The Cruze Diesel will be built for the North American at Chevrolet’s plant in Lordstown, Ohio. While the engine is built by VM-Motori, a joint venture between GM and Fiat.
The North American version is expected to be equipped by a direct injection 2.0-liter engine with 161 hp at 4,000 rpm and 236 lb-ft of torque.
