Today, Chevrolet has celebrated the production of the first 2012 Malibu at its Bupyeong plant in Incheon.
“The new Malibu is our most important product introduction of the year,” GM Korea President and CEO Mike Arcamone said. ”It will play a significant role in enabling us to attain our goals in the domestic market while ensuring that GM Korea becomes an important part of Chevrolet’s success in its second century.”
Sales of GM's new global mid-size sedan will start next month in Korea, the first market to get the car. Buyers will have a choice of two 4-cylinder Ecotec petrol engines: a 141 hp 2.0-liter and a 178 hp 2.4-liter.
