The 2013 MKZ will ride on a new platform that is shared with the next Ford Fusion and its European counterpart, the Mondeo. Besides, the car will adopt an evolutionary design which will hopefully look a little more elegant.
Like the Fusion, the next MKZ will continue to use a front-wheel-drive platform and all-wheel drive should be optional.
Details are limited, but engine options will likely include a turbocharged 4-cylinder, a hybridized 4-cylinder and a range of V6 engines.
