Developed by KTM PowerSports and the Austrian Institute of Technology, the car features a lightweight plastic body which has helped keep the E3W’s overall weight to just 500 kg.
Power is provided by a lithium-ion battery pack and a 20 hp electric motor. The concept can travel approximately 100 km on a single charge.
The E3W could enter production in 2013 with prices rumoured to be around the $7000-$11,000 mark.
