Skoda has unveiled details the new 2012 Citigo minicar.
Designed based on the Volkswagen up!, the Citigo measures 3,563 mm long, 1,641 mm wide and 1,478 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,420 mm. The boot volume is a sizeable 251-liter, which can be expanded to 951-liter with the rear seats down.
Power comes from two all-new 1.0-liter 3-cylinder petrol/gasoline engines delivering 60 hp and 75 hp. Opting for the Green Tec economy-minded variant derivatives are rated at 4.2-liter/100 km and 4.3-liter/100 km respectively with emissions of 97g and 99g CO2/km respectively.
The Skoda Citigo will be offered in both three-door and five-door versions. The car will go on sale in its domestic Czech market this fall while sales in the rest of Europe and the UK will begin next summer (2012).
